In what's fast becoming a series on really simple ideas that will go down a storm at your party, I bring you this wonderful 'marshmallow snowflakes' idea from none other than Martha Stewart. It's a bit more fiddly than the Christmas brie tree idea, as it involves making your own marshmallow mix from scratch - but that's an important life skill we all need to master at some point...
Once you've got the mallows made, all you need do is roll them out like dough and use an ordinary cookie-cutter to create the festive effect. Then brew up some delicious, warming hot chocolate, float the marshmallows on top and delight your friends as they come in from the cold. Perfect!
