Back in the summer months those mysterious girls from Knit the City succeeded in pulling off their most ambitious yarnstorm yet. Six churches, one nursery rhyme from London's past, six graffiti knitters and a whole day of yarnstorming tweeted live on Twitter.
On the big day the girls were stalked by Alt Artist, a couple of camera wielding documentary makers following artists around the globe and passing on their stories to the rest of the world via the medium of short film. Those slick filming chicks have released a three-minute version of their documentary on the 4docs site.
The doc features a short explanation from the yarnstormer at each site and some breathtakingly lovely shots of how it all went down. If you're curious to know how a yarnstorm happens it's worth three minutes of your time to watch and if you like it you can vote for it by registering and clicking on the heart on the right.
One vote for a short film on graffiti knitting, one giant leap for craftivism everywhere.
