Knitting pattern: Owls jumper

owls2.jpgNew Year, new crafty goals. My resolution last year was to knit myself a jumper and here I am in 2010 not having even cast on. So this year I am going to do my damnedest to stitch myself a sweater if it kills me. To make the task a bit more tempting I have chosen a pattern for a jumper that I loved the minute I lay my peepers on it: the Owls jumper by Kate Davies. The pattern is for sale on the Designs page of her site.

Kate's designs are the kind that people make excited squeals or wistful sighs about at our Stitch and Bitch London meetings. They're clever, quirky without being too kooky and always look delightfully cosy too.

If you're not a fan of wearing feathered friend on your knits she has a few other headturning patterns for sale on her site that are well worth getting your needles into. I love the Get Off My (Cloud) hoodie and the Neip Heid hat too.

There's even an Owlet pattern for wee ones who will covet your jumper when you finally finish it. Though avoid wearing your jumper at the same time as the child you make Owlets for. You don't want them thinking you're creating a knitted Mini Me.

You can download it on her 'designs' page of the website. Just click on it at the top and scroll down. The pattern is on there or on Ravelry. :)
