The horror of a holey handknit is a terrible thing. Do you darn it? Do you burn the whole garment in sorrow? Neither according to a fabulous new idea from the Dutch which involves no sewing at all.
Woolfiller takes the principal of needle felting and throws it at your holey clothes. Basically you take a small amount of wool and, taking advantage of the way that the teeny tiny scales in wool react to being poked repeatedly with a needle, you felt a patch over the gap.
This can be a teeny tiny patch or a huge one according to the jaunty instructional video on the website.
I'm not sure I'm entirely convinced that it doesn't look like you accidentally dropped something on yourself. However I can see that it does have its uses and the more imaginative you are the more potential it has. The projects on the website have some grand ideas.
Interesting to see what happens when you crafty lot get your paws on it.
