Guerrilla stitch to show Olympic Pride

lion_heart_project.jpgThe Olympics are coming! Run for the hills! Then run back again and once the training is over you can start doing your bit for the biggest event the UK has seen in years. Fancy taking a crafty take on all this sportiness? You can help show your Olympic pride with a little guerrilla knitting.

I wrote about The Lionheart Project, by artist Shauna Richardson, earlier in the year. Three impressively huge crochet lions which will reflect the East Midlands area in both symbols and material.

You can take part in the stitched pride too. Shauna is calling for graffiti knitters and crocheters to take their stitching to unexpected places and support the project by getting their graffiti on.

All you need to do is download the Lionheart Project tag on the website, stitch yourself something symbolic and then get out there and graffiti. Send the picture to Lionheart Project Central and you could end featured in a book.
