Socks: they're a lot bigger on the inside than they look on the outside. After all you're stuffing the part of your body that has the most bones (26 to be exact) it into a pair every day. They're also brilliant for keeping your toes cosy when you're travelling through time and end up in the Ice Age. These tenuous links are all leading up to a time-tastic pattern for the finest socks a Dr Who fan could ever hope for.
This pattern for a pair of Tardis Socks, seen on Boing Boing, is courtesy of the Witty Little Knitter, a blog of all things knitty, Gallifreyan and Time Lord loving.
The socks are knit from the top to the toes, and you can add you favourite sock pattern to the foot part to create a Tardis sock of your choosing. Be warned: the pattern comes in chart form and assumes that you already have some sock knitting skills before you begin.
There's also a pattern for the original Dr Who scarf to get your two hearts beating to the tune of your clicking needles too.
