Knitting pattern: the marvellous Murielle Scarf

Giant_scarf.JPGFancy something not too fiddly to knit for Christmas? Grab a huge pair of 40mm needles and throw your Christmas knitting energy at a fabulous scarf pattern that'll keep anyone snuggly when the snow is falling. And it's free.

Knitterbird's thick and quick Murielle Scarf is a chunky-knitted wonder. It's speedy, smooshy and has the look of one of those scarves that constantly pop up on shows with the likes of Gok Wan and cost hundred of pounds.

Luckily this one will cost you the price of a few balls of the chunky yarn of your choice.

For those who have never knit on 40mm needles be warned. This is a very quick knit but it's going to be a bit of a workout so prepare for some heavy knitting.

If you don't fancy grappling with those needles you can get your Christmas knit on with Alex's You Can Stuff Your Christmas Ornaments too.
