Crochet a Rainbow for Aussies in need

crochet_a_rainbow.gifIt can't have escaped anyone's notice that Australia is having a tough time with the weather gods of late. Putting your hands in your pocket to send aid certainly helps but there are other things your hands can do too. Joining Crochet a Rainbow is one of them.

Crochet a Rainbow is a project that began with the onset of the devastating Australian floods in Queensland and Victoria. The idea is to crochet simple colourful granny squares and send them off.

When they reach their down under destination they'll be sewn together into blankets and given out to those who may well have lost everything as "a reminder that there is always a rainbow after a storm".

You can also support them by buying one of the fabulous crochet patterns.
