Knit the City bring some knit graffiti love to London
Those sneaky London stitchers of Knit the City are at it once more in one of the most daring examples of graffiti knitting since their Parliament Square Phonebox Cosy. This time the 'yarnstormers' hit one of London's busiest tourist sites and gave it a little love for Valentine's Day.
The Hubbub of Hearts, KTC's 13th yarnstorm, saw them take on the challenge of hanging a handmade string of hearts from the bow of Piccadilly Circus's Eros statue, seven metres up in a square jam-packed full of tourists.
Along with this they also managed to create a woolly Prince William and Kate Middleton, a flurry of fluttering hearts, a giant crocheted engagement ring and two rather scantily dressed Greek gods.
Next stop for the Yarn Corps is rumoured to be Berlin for their book launch on the 5 of March.
Lovely woolly stuff for Valentine's Day. Keep it up, mysterious stitchers!
