World Heritage Sites are amazing places. So amazing that surely some kind of tribute should be made to them, no? Sure there are photos, sketches and wordy descriptions but what says it better than recreating them in miniature with lovely Lego?
Jackie left behind her 9-5 in the world of museums, filled her backpack full of Lego essentials and took off for her Midlife Crisis Gap Year in May 2011. The plan is to visit as many human-made World Heritage Sites as she can and immortalise them all in Lego as she goes.
Damned funny and inspiring to boot, it's a fantastic look at bits of the world well worth seeing and the wonders an expert-wielder of the tiny plastic brick (just check out Cordoba cathedral bell tower in Lego pictured above).
Happy travels, Jackie, the Lego craft force is strong with you!
