Amigurumi, the art of crocheting or knitting ultra-cute stuffed toys, is everywhere these days but how about a bit of 'yummigurumi'? Taking a peek inside the woolly wonder that is Gourmet Crochet from Ivy Press, it'd be hard not to be tempted.
The book, penned by Christen Haden (see more of her work over at Needle Noodles) and Rosy Sala, is crammed with a beautiful bellyful of crocheted yummies from funky fruit and veg, to posh picnic lunches, to my fave a whole platter of stitched sushi and dim sum.
There's also a basic crochet explanation in there for those who don't know their chain stitch from their triple treble.
It's not a weighty tome at a slim 78 pages but there's enough in there to get you hooked (excuse the pun). Perfect for those who fancy small bites of craft between those epic afghans.
