Crafty Art: graffiti embroidery

banana_graffiti.jpgWhat item of fruit, piece of chocolate or wooden door would be complete without a thoughtful word stitched through it to give it that 'just graffitied' air? Well, probably most of them but that doesn't stop the work of this sneaky stitcher being all kinds of marvellous.

It seems Sarah Greaves will basically sew a meaningful word on anything given half the chance. From chunks of chocolate, to lonesome bananas, to lipsticks, toasters and bread.

Of course there's more to it than the 'if you like it then you shoulda sewn a word on it' mentality. Greaves says:

"Fridges, doors, food and sinks become the canvases for hidden thoughts."

Inspiring crafty art does it again. What secret words are hiding in your every day items? Share via the medium of craft. Go on.
