So we've pretty much fine with knitting with sheep hair, and there are even folks knitting with dog hair and making felt from their dead cats, but getting your embroidery on with human hair? Well, someone was bound to try it and that someone is Tabitha Kyoko Moses.
Ms Moses embroiders and crafts with human hair. From an utterly bizarre purse with long flowing tresses to hand embroidery with needle and hair, her work for her MA incorporated all manner of manes. In this hair-raising interview on the Creshendoh blog she says:
One day I just thought, 'why not use real hair?' I did and it was so much more powerful I never used fake hair again.
