Dodgy furniture will always have broken bits and bits that work. It's all very well for the damaged articles to be discarded but what about the functioning parts that get left behind? Hamburg's Entwurf Direkt (Design Direct) have come up with a novel concept for a bit of funky upcycled furnishing.
Their 1000 Drawer Project rehomes 'orphaned' drawers from various bits of furniture in new ones, combining them to rather lovely effect. Each one-off piece of furniture comes with a certificate too, so you know you have a total original. Brilliant upcycling stuff.
