Friday crafty film: tilt shift turns village into model
Tilt-shift is a photography technique where you can use a special cameras or lenses to shift the most focused part of an image, resulting in some interesting effects. One of these effects is to make your image look as if it's a crafty model rather than a real-life object or place.
Not sure what I mean? Check out The Village, a short film made by Pedro Sousa and Daniel Espírito Santo, which turns shots of a countryside village into a teeny tiny moving model town. Amazing stuff.
If you can't afford a fancy tilt-shift lens there is a sneaky Photoshop way of getting the same effect too. Hop over to Visual Photo Guide for a how to.
Here's The Village video to show tilt-shift in full fantastic effect. Happy Friday!
