This year two of the UK's biggest knitting magazines, Simply Knitting and The Knitter, are joining forces to combat domestic violence with woolly hugs for those in need.
The Refuge Comfort Blanket campaign invites knitters to help Refuge by making squares for blankets which will be given to the women and children staying in refuges.
The patterns for squares are available to download online in return for a donation to the cause too. They've already raised over £1000.
