The Queen of the flowery fabric is back and this time she's in patchwork pieces, with Patch!
Patch!, published by the crafty folks at Quadrille, is the fourth book in Cath Kidston's latest shouty titled series, following the fabulous Make! Sew! and Stitch!
So what's inside? Each book comes with everything you need to make the brilliant bag (or the cushion version) on the cover of the book, which includes seven fabrics, a ready-cut length of calico fabric for the bag itself, cotton tape (for bag handles or cushion ties) and a Cath Kidston label to finish it off. Cool, no?
The projects: the book contains a whopping 30 projects made even more tempting by some beautiful photography and Kidston's expert choice in fabrics. There are bags, toys, throws, necklaces and even a personalised dog bed.
Along with all the basic how to tips to get you started, some knitting machine help and details on embroidery and techniques, you're unlikely to have to look elsewhere to find out how to get your project done.
Finishing the book off there are a whole load of useful addresses and all the templates you need for the patterns. It's 160 pages of pretty patchwork goodness and would make an ace present for someone who knows how to sew or wants to begin. Or keep it for yourself and cover everything in perfect patchwork.
