Come to the Stitch London book launch!

launch_party_logo.jpgThe woolly wonders of London are about to be released into the city and you're all invited to come along. Stitch London by your intrepid Crafty Crafty reporter Lauren O'Farrell (me!) hits to shelves in time for National Knitting Week and you're all invited to the launch.

Stitch London is a city knitting book for anyone who loves London. It's brilliant for beginners and for anyone who likes to do something different with their stitching. Each book comes with a Knit the Pigeon kit, containing everything you need to knit Cooey the Pigeon.

There are over 20 patterns including a picnic blanket made entirely from plastic bags, customisation for your umbrella, mug cosies with a cockney rhyming slang theme and also a pattern to knit Queen Elizabeth and two very cute tiny corgis.

The knitty city party takes place at Foyles on London's South Bank on Wednesday the 5th of October from 6pm. There'll be a whole flock of handknitted pigeons, cake, booze and the chance to see all the Stitch London knits up close. More info here.

Come and celebrate the launch of the knittiest city book ever.

(If you miss out I'll be signing books at the Knitting and Stitching Show on Saturday 8th October at 2.30pm on the Sew Good Books Stall too)
