Over in Tokyo's Shibuya district the local rats got a grisly makeover from a group of artists called Chim Pom.
The six artists turned the bodies of several of the district's 'super rats' (so called because they are rumoured to squeakily laugh in the face of regular rat poison) into everyone's favourite Pokémon, Pikachu back in 2006. There's even a video of them catching the little critters (not advisable if you're into kindness to animals).
Complete with rosy cheeks and lightning bolt tail these stomach-turning stuffed animals can be seen in a collection of images over at Oddity Central. Ick.
