Scotch Restickable Tabs get crafty for Halloween

Halloween_Decorations.jpgScotch have sent us some of their Scotch Restickable Tabs to try out for a handmade Halloween.

What are they? They're sticky double-sided adhesive tabs which can be reused (when they get dirty or dusty you wash them with soap and water and they're magically sticky again) and can be used to stick up light crafty items for the world to see.

What are they good for? Scotch have a few suggestions:

Scary looking family portraits Get the family round and dig out some old fashioned style fancy dress costumes. Set your camera to black and white and get everyone posing, pulling the scariest faces they can. Use the Scotch Restickable Tabs to stick the pictures of your 'ancestors' over the walls of your house.

Make Halloween coloured paper chains
Buy orange, black and purple coloured paper and cut in to evenly sized strips. Using sticky tape, make the pieces of paper into rings, looping each ring in to the other.

Once it's long enough, drape it from one side of the room to the other and stick it on to your ceiling using the Scotch Restickable Tabs.

They're really rather good too. They hold up to 1lb of craftiness which makes them brilliant for papercraft or putting up your crafty cards to show off. The paper graffiti potential is endless too since it doesn't damage what it's sticking too.

They won't hold anything heavier than that though (an experiment with a tiny knitted skull last about 10 minutes before dropping off). You also need to be careful you peel, rather than pull, them off to avoid taking a bit of wall/paint/wallpaper with it.

All in all a neat little crafty addition to the sticky family, kind to your walls (there are no pinholes or greasy marks) and eco-friendly too since they're reusable. Craft win.
