Battersea Dogs Home wants handmade for its hounds

sew_doggy_bag.jpgIt seems the Cats at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home got all the attention when the Cat Knit project earlier in the year (featuring my kooky little free knitting pattern for Captain Cat Battler the catnip mouse) went wild over at The Guardian. To make up for it the Home are now asking you to craft for their canine residents too.

The How to Make a Scented Doggie Bag how to over at The Guardian invites you to turn your crafty paws to sewing for those homeless hounds.

The baggies are part of Battersea's 'kennel enrichment plan' which keeps their temporary live-in lovelies happy while they await new owners. Find out more about the project here.

Another lovely crafty idea from the folks who take in London's strays. Makes you proud to be a crafter, no?
