Digital Handmade: last chance to see

digital_handmade_owls.jpgIf you fancy checking out some amazing examples of the handmade meeting the digital age it's worth popping into the Digital Handmade exhibition in at the So Far, The Future Gallery in London's Bloomsbury area.

The exhibition is by author and illustrator Chris Haughton (whose A Bit Lost book is heart-squeezinly lovely), who explains:

"The exhibits have all been somehow created from images I've made and either woven into wool, cut into felt or sewn into fabrics with traditional craft-makers in Nepal. It is the results of an eight month trip to Nepal and India to work with fair trade craft-makers. There will be rugs, bags, toys, prints, lampshades and books."

You can also see all the entries in their Design a Rug competition and vote for them at the gallery.

The exhibition on December 7th so pop down tomorrow for a last chance to see.

If you miss it you can snag a little handmade Owl of your own over at Chris's online shop. Not only are they mega cute but you also get to show you give a hoot about supporting handmade and fair trade.
