There's something about felt that always reminds me of Christmas, whether it's the hand sewn tree ornaments or the Christmas stockings, felt seems to be at the top of the list when it comes to materials for Christmas makes.
This fantastic How to Make a Woven Heart tutorial from Poopscape is perfect for filling with little Christmas treats and hanging from your tree.
The design is based on a Scandinavian traditional woven heart and can be made from whatever material takes your fancy. Making it from paper, felt, leather or a non-fray material is a good choice though as you don't have to hem the edges (always a bit of a thankless task!).
It's quite tricky thinking of neat ways to package little presents and I can't think of a prettier way to hang a small gift on your tree, waiting to be opened on Christmas Day.
