How to: make an Upcycled Color Block Scarf

Starting to get the Christmas shakes? You know, the 'illness' that hits when you're within a week of the big day and there just....aren't....enough....gifts?

The fantastic Kat Roberts has a solution: We Can Re-Do It.

Drawing from her years spent working in fashion and a passion for upcycling that has rarely seen an equal, We Can Re-Do It documents Kat's quest to take fabric and jewelry scraps and turn them into stuff you - or a bestie - would love to wear.

Just in time for the holidays, Kat's posted a fab Upcycled Color Block Scarf how-to, which is actually a recipe for that fashion staple, the cowl. I love cowls - they're super-snuggly, don't get tangled up in things, and look fresh. (I made myself a version of the Gap-tastic Cowl this fall, and have not looked back. Cowls rule!)

Extra bonus: since you're using existing scarves to make this cowl, it is, potentially, free - and couldn't be quicker.

What lucky friend wouldn't like a trendy cowl for Christmas? Better get craftin'....
