How to: make a Paper Doughnut

paper_doughnut.png

Crafting with paper is a very beautiful thing.  It is delicate and yet can be moulded, cut or shaped into many different forms.

I think that's why I'm always drawn to paper sculpture. The level of intricacy and attention to detail needs to be fairly high for the project to work, especially when it comes to cutting.

Enter the paper doughnut!  This awesome piece of paper sculpture can be yours.  You simply print out the pattern and cut out all the shapes, slotting each together until it forms a doughnut shape.

However, I'm afraid this is a craft of no pain no gain, as even Andrea at My Blog Thing confesses it'll probably give your hand cramp and leave you running for a nice cuppa and a hot bath as soon as you've finished.

It's certainly a thing of beauty, and although sceptics may ask 'Why make such a thing?' I'm sure it'll be a great talking point and will be a true wonder of paper crafting to behold.
