AAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEE!!! It's nearly 2012! How on earth did that happen?!?!
Here's a peek back at our most popular examples of the geekiest in the craft world over the past year. Ah the nerdy memories...
January: The swoonsome free Jack Skellington knitting pattern by knit designer, Sunshyne Leyland was a big hit with the handmade ladies.
February: The fibre-based crochet crew of Serenity was a shiny tribute to Firefly from Smapte.
March: More crochet love. This time in the form of AmiguWHOmi from Evil Crochet Genius, as she turned Dr Who delightfully woolly.
April: Pig-popping cakey cleverness from Electric Pig. This Angry Birds cake was playable! So cool.
May: Crafty cross stitch Avengers assemble! Marvel brought out a whole load of movies this year from Captain America to thunderous Thor. Wee Little Stitches handmade the heroes in the cutest cross stitch ever.
June: Paging handmade Dr House. Hugh Laurie's grumpy Gregory got the cross stitch treatment by Steotch.
July: The final Harry Potter film swooped across our screens with The Deathly Hallows. We conjured up the Best of Handmade Hogwarts. We even showed you how to make your own wand.
August: 1UP! Made By Moxie Mario-ed up some every day objects. We loved them.
September: The Walking Dead shambled across our small screens and we hungered after graverobbergirl's cosy zombie quilt on Craftster.
October: Getting your geek on while your gifting was made much easier with this amazing woven Space Invader gift topper from Minieco.
November: That's no knitted moon! It's a stitched space station! @craftycrafty's Twitter went wild when we launched this free Knit Your Own Death Star pattern from Nicole Kostelec.
December: We nerded up your Nativity with a bit more Star Wars in the form of these Star Wars snowflakes from Matters of Grey. What could be more festival than Boba Fett hanging from your tree?
From all of us at team Crafty Crafty we wish you the most splendiferous handmade 2012. We're looking forwards to cramming even more kooky craft down into your eyeballs next year.
Happy Handmade New Year!
