A lampshade made from toilet rolls

toilet_roll_lampshade.jpgToilet rolls are one of those materials that you feel must be good as a craft medium, but usually go straight into the recycling box.

Until now that is! Anna Stephanie has used toilet roll tubes to create a stunning lampshade. It's such a surprisingly beautiful way to use the tubes and they really lend well to being formed into a sphere.

Anna travelled to Tel Aviv to get her lampshade base, (but you could use wire to fashion your own). Then she stapled sliced tubes into shapes that resemble stars or flowers, before finishing them off with strings of beads which really catch the glow from the light inside.

It's such a great idea, I need a few lampshades of my own.

But wait, is that the bin men I hear outside? Stopppppp!!
