Crafty art: knit and crochet guns

yarn_guns.jpgMake woolly weapons not war. With unrest all over the world at the moment I thought it might be nice to gaze at some death-machines covered in yarn.

I'm not entirely sure if these are meant to symbolise the end of war by wrapping guns in wool, or if they're just meant to be grannified takes on scary things, but these knit and crochet covered guns by Monte A. Smith are certainly a head turner.

The project, called The Gun Store, was part of Smith's fine arts major at the Metropolitan State College of Denver.

Check out some of his more recent work, including a crochet cthulhu, over on his Flickr stream.
