Above: Abraham Lincoln has been given a new look in colour over at Imgur.com
Life without colour would be so dull. It's an obvious one, but not something you think about too much when viewing black and white photos.
It wasn't until I reached about 10 years old that I realised that life wasn't in black and white in the 'olden times!' Once you find out this little fact out as a kid, your imagination goes mad thinking of what life really looked like back then.
Wonder no more - a very talented person has created some awesome colour pictures from black and white historical photos over on the sharing site Imgur.
Taking historical famous images, he or she has added the perfect colour matches so that we can see for ourselves life in colour for images, such as the portraits of Abraham Lincoln, Anne Frank and Charles Darwin, as well as some very shocking images.
If you are new to Imgur (pronounced image-er), it's a site that allows people to post up pictures anonymously (hence why I have no clue as to who made these fantastic images!) You can then keep the photos private or share the link with the likes of Twitter and Facebook, as well as your blog.
Imgur then scours these social media sites for the most viewed and favourites and then adds them to the gallery, from where you can browse them.
You can't actually search for images, you have to be told about them through your buddies or people you follow.
It's a fantastic idea and it's obviously catching on as a lot of the images have hundreds of thousands of views, with this particular album reaching over 4.5 million views at the time of writing this!
