Quilting is a world which, once you jump into it, can become quite addictive. But starting out, it can be tricky to know where to start, where to get patterns and ideas from, and where you can go to learn new techniques.
Just Hands On TV is the first online tv channel for patchwork, quilting, embroidery and textile art.
With new content each week, viewers can watch videos showcasing exhibitions, interviews with experts, workshops, techniques and inspiring ideas.
Basic membership is free, allowing you to view various video clips, including techniques, reviews and interviews.
To view tutorials and workshops you have to pay a small monthly subscription, but it can be cancelled at anytime - quite reasonable considering the amount of content on the site.
Once you've mastered the basics, the site aims to introduce you to new and more advanced techniques.
Just Hands On TV also enables you to 'travel' around the country to various exhibitions and shows, so that you can see the exhibits from the comfort of your home without even stepping out of your PJs!
I've only dabbled in the quilting world, but with a background in textiles and a firm interest in sewing and i's techniques, I'm sure I'll be popping back to this site in the future for new gadget advice and sewing techniques I've yet to master!
