Above: an image from the mask collaborations between British artists Ben Newman and the Felt Mistress, soon to be shown in Berlin for Pictoplasma.
Berlin is turning into a crafter's delight this April, with Pictoplasma, a city-wide exhibition of arts and crafts.
From April 11-15, you can see work by Crafty Crafty favorites Louise Evans (aka Felt Mistress), Gemma Correll and Atak, as well as a whole show's worth of work by Berlin-based Etsy sellers. And that barely begins to describe the cavalcade of cool stuff on display.
It's breaking my heart that I now live an ocean away from a city where I've had so many fun times - but those of you within a train or jet's reach of Berlin have got to go!
Above: I love this hilarious embroidery by LA-based artist Megan Whitmarsh, part of the Post Digital Monsters show at Pictoplasma.
Those who make the trip can print out a free Character Walk tour plan, hitting loads of the sites where the papercutting, embroidery, comics and animation (to name a few of the art forms involved) will be on show!
Pictoplasma will soon have a live Flickr image stream on the exhibition homepage - so check back for a direct feed of mind-blowing crafty images!
