Crafty event: The Make Escape pops up in London

make_escape_1.pngHold onto your handmade hats London, a brand new craft night is opening in Hackney and you're all invited.

Crafty Crafty favourite Momtaz Begum-Hossain and the equally talented Rosie Martin have put their crafty heads together to conjure up a space where Londoner can get their handmade on in style.

The Make Escape launches on May 29th on top of Hackney Picture House, and will run in the evenings on the last Tuesday of every month. It's free, it's promises to be fabulous and it's covered in glitter glue.

You're free to make whatever you fancy (I love that they say "beautiful or weird, it's up to you"), learn new skills, work on craft projects in the company of others crafters, buy handmade goodies, and "hang out, chill out, escape real life, get away, meet people and generally have a fun night out".

They're also inviting special guests each month so whatever you're into they're bound to have someone who can teach you a thing or two.

And with the promise of freshly baked cakes I'm thinking The Make Escape may be one escape I'm not sure I want to leave.
