Wedding season is upon us, affecting geeks and non-geeks alike!
If you're planning a geek wedding, the cake is a big focus. There are two schools of geeky thought on cakes: either go to town and make the whole cake into the object of your geeky desire (such as this amazing Battlestar Galactica cake), or have a plain cake made and create a geeky cake topper.
The benefits of cake toppers are many. Firstly, they're what I like to call a geekiness safety valve. A geeky cake topper is a great way to subtly fly your geek flag, without worrying your parents that they'll have to rent stormtrooper costumes, or fight each other to the death a la The Hunger Games.
Plus it'll make a great souvenir of the craziest, most hectic, it-flew-by-in-an-instant day of your life.
