It's definitely the weather for Frappachino! There's something rather lovely about sipping an ice cold frappachino while looking at the blue skys overhead.
I always buy my frappachino, usually from a very overpriced coffee shop. I hadn't thought about making my own before, largely due to thinking it would be tricky.
However, Alice of Savoury Sweet Life has made her own version of a starbucks Frappachino and thankfully for us has shared it for all of us to make.
It's a really easy and quick recipe that needs only a few ingredients, and like she says on her blog, it's saved her a small fortune.
Part of the recipe calls for coffee syrup. The fantastic Elsie of A Beautiful Mess has shared her recipe for making your own coffee syrup which could be used together with Alice's recipe to make your frappachino.
I really love the bottles Elsie's put the syrup in and how simple but cool the labels are. They would make perfect gifts and you could even add your own frappachino recipe on the label.
You could also follow Elsie's lead and make a mocha chip latte. She made her latte from ice cube coffee. A really neat trick to making frappachino quickly.
You simply make your coffee and put it into an ice cube tray. That way when the need for a drink arises, you just blend the ice cubes together with ice cream and milk to make a yummy frappe - simple!
