Queen's Jubilee gets knitted

knitted-royal-jubilee.jpgTurning the Queen woolly seems to be a bit of a trend this week, after our Queen Liz knitting kit post, we've been wowed by an amazing woolly wonder from 75-year-old knitter extraordinaire Sheila Carter from Southampton.

Sheila, who spent four months knitting her version of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Boat Pageant that will take place on June 3rd, has put some amazing detail into her impressive knit. There's teeny tiny bunting, all manner of onlookers, and even a handmade Tower Bridge.

See more pics and an interview with the lady herself over at MSNBC.

Isn't it grand? She must be a real trouper to do it all on her own too. I take my handmade hat off to her.
