Ever wondered what it's like to create the world's largest crocheted sculpture? Shauna Richardson, the artist behind the magnificent Lionheart Project part of the Cultural Olympiad in the run up to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, has been interviewed by the folks at Crane TV about how the project was conjured from her crochet hook.
The hand-crocheted cats are currently on a UK tour, where they are travelling the country in a 16-metre long illuminated glass case. The tour will wend its way through the East Midlands at Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northampton and Nottingham, stopping at events such as the SO Festival and Twycross Zoo and end up at the Natural History Museum in London on July 20th, just in time for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
For tour details and to learn more about the project dash over to the Lionheart website, and look out for the crafty creatures on their way to the capital. Let's hope they don't eat too many folks on the way.
