Follow this awesome how to from Bettina's Blog and make your own clay doily bowl. It's a really simple technique but one which looks professional.
All you need for the project is a few materials and you can create a cute little bowl that would make a perfect present.
Why stop at a doily? You could push knitted or crochet'd squares into the clay to make an interesting texture. You could also push your child's handprint in, making a great father's day present.
Rubbing a little rub and buff over the texture would make the imprint pop out as well.
