Friday Crafty Film: Ravelry by Evil Crochet Genius

ravelry_evil_crochet_genius.jpgOnce upon a time in a crochet garden two neighbours started a gardening rivalry that would grow into something neither of them expected. Crafty Crafty favourite Evil Crochet Genius has created an oddly creepy cute animated film, Ravelry, with her crochet characters and it is amazing.

The short stop-motion film took 16 weeks to make, with eight of those weeks "madly crocheting everything" and three weeks in a dark room animating. It's also noted that the ladies from Crochet Lovers Victoria donated crochet flowers and others lent a hand to make the leaves featured in the final film.

It's a handmade movie labour of love and it's well worth settling down to wonder at.

Find out more about the making of the film over the at Evil Crochet Genius website. And do check out the other makes on there. They really are genius.
