How to: fold an origami Yoda from one sheet of paper

origami_yoda.jpg

Fold you I will! This origami Yoda is made from a single sheet of paper folded 82 times to create the tiny Jedi master in all his papery glory. Impossible you think it is? Give it a go yourself.

The picture of the Origami Yoda popped on Internet-meme factory (and former Mr Sulu from Star Trek) George Takei's Facebook feed. If you're not familiar with George's online superpowers know now that everything he touches online turns viral. He has a whopping 2,250,372 likes and most of those likers are sharing the love.

The image is actually the work of two crafty crafters. The pictures are from @yoyoferro Origami, who posts his amazing origami pieces on his Facebook page.

The how to is the work of paper-folding genius Fumiaki Kawahata and can be seen step by step in this YouTube video:

Give it a go and make one yourself. And as Yoda himself says "Do or do not. There is no try." Get folding. You'll never be a Jedi master if you don't start training.
