Leather is one of my favourite mediums and is very inspiring. You can use it for so many different crafts.
This stunning flower is a great little tutorial and is one of the nicest flower tutorials I think I've seen.
All you need is an off cut of leather, some scissors, PVA glue and a candle. You simply cut out your petal shapes, burn the edges of your shapes and then glue them together. If you have a die-cutting machine you an also use this together with a petal shaped die to speed up your cutting time.
The burning of the edges makes the petals curl up a little and form into the correct shape.
This how to is by the talented Exceptional gift. You can see more of her makes including many different leather flowers over in her gallery.
If you don't have any pieces of leather in your stash to use for this make you can use an old bag or coat, and eBay is also a great place to pick up some hide off cuts.
