Gold medal craft win over in woolly Walthamstow knitter Suzanne Haggerty's purly Olympic Park grabs the attention of the media.
Featured in a gallery over at the BBC the hand knitted Olympic Park features handmade athletes representing numerous nations, as well as stars such as Usain Bolt and Chris Hoy and golden oldies Steve Cram and Seb Coe. There's even crafty volley ball courts and stitched swimming pools.
Quoted in The Evening Standard Suzanne explained the reasoning behind her woolly wonders: ""Insanity. Why would someone do this? It's not normal." Love it!
